This Thanksgiving I was invited to spend the week in Louisiana (where my boyfriend is from) with his close family and friends, so I wanted an outfit that wasn’t over-the-top for a dinner at home but still a little dressy to get into the holiday spirit. One of my favorite trends this year would have to be the dramatic sleeve trend. Although I’ve never been a fan of wearing green, I wanted to give this top a try because of its cute bell-sleeves… and I totally fell in love with it!
Adding to the list of things I love are off-the-shoulder tops! You guys will soon find out how obsessed I am through my outfit posts 😉 I’m a huge fan of chokers as well. They’re the perfect accessory for tops like this.
As for my skirt- I bought it at Forever, too. It’s a slightly different emerald green, but still achieves the monochromatic look I wanted (since I wanted a bright color for my shoes). I opted for an ankle strap peep-toe platform heel to complete the look.
Side note: the skirt linked below is the exact skirt I’m wearing, I just wore it backwards (I tend to do that with a lot of my clothes if I think they look better turned the other way around).
So ladies- don’t be afraid to experiment with greens! I surprised myself in the fitting room with this color.
This skirt also comes in a burgundy, I linked some off-the-shoulder tops that can be paired with it if you’re wanting to rock some holiday colors like I did!
