I do admit, although I’ve lived in the Bay Area for a few years now I’ve kinda taken it for granted. I’m so busy that I don’t take the time to explore, there’s so much to do here! Whether it be sports outings (we have a team for every professional sport), art shows, you name it. But probably my favorite part of the Bay is what nature has to offer here.
Wine tasting has always been on my bucket list, and when I finally came around to it I was so surprised at how many wineries I had to choose from! Ultimately with the help of Yelp, I found a great one tucked away in the mountains just 25 minutes from my place (downtown San Jose). We chose to pop our wine tasting cherry at this cute little place- Savannah Chanelle Vineyard in Saratoga, CA.
There were so many wineries to choose from that my main deciding factor was the customer service, because it’s all about the experience to me. They were rated highly in reviews and let me tell ya, they didn’t disappoint.
Upon arrival we were welcomed by our amazing host Luke, who did a wonderful job of explaining the process of tasting and catered to all our questions as newbies. This was their tasting room to try out all the different wines they had to offer that day (not pictured was this cute lady playing the piano to set the ambiance).
At the counters were other hosts explaining the different wines and where they were from (you can also pair these wines with cheese and chocolates they had behind the counter!). We tasted in order of the wine list but if you liked a certain wine you could go back and taste it again 😉
The cost of tasting here was $15, and if you bought a bottle they deducted half of that from the price. They also have a Wine Club that you can sign up for, in which you got 2 bottles of wine sent to you every quarter- of course you have to pay for these bottles but shipping is free and, as a huge plus, any of your future wine tastings are free and you get to bring up to 4 guests with ya! (We ended up signing up cuz we loved the wines, we’re definitely bringing our friends next time!)
My favorite part about this winery was that if you wanted to take a break from the tasting and step outside, the scenery was to die for. Since the vineyard was tucked away in the mountains the view was amazing! They had lawn chairs and picnic tables scattered around the property where you were free to bring snacks and lunch if you chose to.
Then of course was the beautiful vineyard and more views of mountains. I wore a hat because we were outside all day and also wanted to achieve the “evil stepmother from Parent Trap” vibe 😉 do you guys remember her?
Also how cute is my jumpsuit? The entire thing was a one-piece and laced up in the back. It was totally giving me a 90’s Britney vibe too with all that denim.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact thing online (I got it at a boutique here in San Jose), but I did find other lace-up back jumpsuits I linked for you guys. I couldn’t get over the back of this!
Rockin a monochromatic look with the denim and hat, I wanted to accessorize with something unique and eye-catching, so I wore my wooden Jord Watch with my outfit. I’ve never owned a wooden watch before, but they do not disappoint!
All of their watches are hand-crafted and have a wide variety of beautiful designs. Definitely a must-have spring accessory!
If you’d like a chance to win a $100 (off) E Gift code for any of their watches on their site, I’m doing a giveaway! To enter this giveaway, click here. The giveaway ends March 4th when I announce the winner! All other entrants receive a 10% off E Gift Code 🙂 Good luck everyone!
